Early Education. By Zhan Xinxin. Grade 8 Class !

Susan is only six this year. He parents are farmers who never had the opportunity of going to school when they were growing up. So now they can’t teach Susan anything besides farming.

The farm beside Susan’s parent’s farm there is a young boy living there. He began going to school last year and is now in Grade One. He come over and talks and plays with Susan after school. He often reads his school books aloud so that Susan can listen and repeat the words after him. Susan likes to read with him and also Tom the young boy teaches her to write and read and count up to one hundred. Susan’s parents are impressed with her ability to learn things off Tom so they try to save up so they can send Susan to school.

The new school year started last month. Susan’s mother dresses her up in new clothes and her father took her off to start school. At first the teacher thought that Susan was too young to start school and advised her father to take her home. The farmer, I mean Susan’s father asked the teacher to ask his daughter some simple study questions. The teacher was immediately impressed with Susan after testing her and fell in love with her cuteness. So Susan became a school student of course.

Susan often tells her parents about her school life as she knows that they are very proud of her and like to hear about what happens at school. She thinks her teacher and classmates are really friendly to her.

Yesterday afternoon Susan came home with a big smile on her face. She told her parents, “I taught my teacher today!” “Really” her mother said in surprise. “I’m certain” her daughter said. “A student asked Miss Bell “What’s seven and four?” My math teacher said nothing but asked me to give the answer. I told both of them that it was eleven”
